About the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
New Mexico American Coed Pageants, LLC, and Duran Events, LLC will uphold and adhere to the guidelines established by the Federal Trade Commission in the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. This act, which became effective April 21, 2000, sets guidelines for children's web sites concerning the collection of personal information from children ages 13 and under. Please visit http://www.ftc.gov for more information regarding privacy policies.

Every effort will be made to provide a safe and enjoyable web site for our visitors. We currently collect no private information over the Internet, nor do we store privacy information on the Internet in an unencrypted form.  The only information that might be considered private on our web site are the images of our contestants and names of pageant royalty, which have been placed on this web site under the agreement by their parents, guardians, or the individuals themselves when of legal age.  Please note that the "Message Boards" and "National Site" links above open web pages that are run by other companies and are not under our control.

General Information Privacy

New Mexico American Coed Pageants, LLC, and it's holding company Duran Events, LLC, consider of foremost importance the privacy and security of personal information provided by any applicant or contestant. We reserve this information for internal use only, and will in no way share, sell or otherwise distribute such personal information with any third party individual, group or organization.

The only exception to this policy is if we exchange names with an organization in return for some benefit to the persons involved, for example, a scholarship or award for the contestants. Any display or transfer of such information will not be executed without the written permission of a parent or legal guardian of a minor or the direct written permission of a legal-age contestant.

The Application for participation, which may be obtained through this website at the viewers' discretion, must include the written permission and signature of said applicant's parent or legal guardian in order for the applicant to apply. The parent or legal guardian must also enclose a personal check with his/her signature in order to pay the application fee.  The application contains permission for use of some information such as pictures at pageant or royalty events.

Information Collection and Use of Information
New Mexico American Coed Pageants, LLC, and Duran Events, LLC will not sell, rent, or share information collected on our web site or applications mailed to us to third parties. We collect information from our visitors for such activities as registering, contests, scrapbooks, and purchasing products. Parental consent is required before we collect or keep any information from children ages 13 and under.

Parental Notification and/or Consent
New Mexico American Coed Pageants, LLC, and Duran Events, LLC requires the consent of a parent or guardian before any personal information is collected about children ages 13 and under. An email or letter will be sent to the parent or guardian's address notifying them that personal information has been requested, or a parent can register their child immediately.
